Looking for a Wedding Photographer at Lapstone Barn?
If you’re looking for a Lapstone Barn wedding photographer, you’re in the right place. I know this stunning Cotswold venue well — the honey-coloured stone, the beautiful wooden beams, and the open views across the countryside all come together to create something truly special. It’s one of those places that feels warm and full of character the moment you walk in.
Lapstone Barn has everything a couple could want: incredible light, gorgeous textures everywhere you look, and enough space to make the day feel relaxed and effortless. Whether you’re planning an elegant celebration or something a little more intimate and rustic, this venue photographs beautifully in every season.
What’s It Like Getting Married at Lapstone Barn?
Lapstone Barn sits quietly in the heart of the Cotswolds, surrounded by rolling hills and those iconic stone walls the area is known for. It’s effortlessly stylish but still laid-back — the perfect blend of modern and traditional.
The ceremony barn is one of my favourite spaces. The exposed stone wall behind the ceremony gives the whole moment so much charm and texture, and the wooden beams overhead bring warmth to every angle. It’s a dream for natural, candid photography.
Outside, the courtyard is the centre of everything. It’s a great social space for guests, but it’s also a brilliant spot for photos — especially in the evening when the lights start to glow. The views beyond the courtyard stretch right out across the Cotswold countryside, and there’s always a quiet corner to sneak away for a moment together.
Claire & George’s Wedding at Lapstone Barn
I photographed Claire and George’s wedding here in October, and the whole day was a beautiful mix of elegance, emotion, and fun. Their styling was incredible: Claire wore a timeless, elegant white dress, while George and his groomsmen looked sharp in classic black tuxedos.
The florals were stunning — rich textures and autumn tones that paired perfectly with Lapstone’s stone walls. They also set up a sweet kids’ corner with a tipi, books, and games, which kept the little ones happy all day and made for some really lovely candid shots.
The weather gave us a bit of everything (classic UK autumn!), and when the rain arrived, we grabbed an umbrella and headed outside anyway. Those portraits — slightly windswept, wrapped up together, laughing under the umbrella — ended up being some of my favourites. Rainy moments often bring the most romance.

Lapstone Barn is full of great spots for photography, and here are some favourites I always love working with:

- The open countryside views — ideal for movement-based couple portraits
- The ceremony barn — warm light, natural tones, and lots of emotion
- The reception barn — beautiful ambient light and plenty of space for dancing photos
Whether it’s golden hour, overcast, or rainy, Lapstone always delivers.
My Approach to Weddings at Lapstone Barn
My style is candid, relaxed, and soft-romantic. I spend most of the day capturing the natural moments — the laughter, the tears, the hugs, the things you’ll want to remember but might not notice in the moment.
For portraits, I offer gentle direction to help you feel comfortable and natural. Nothing stiff or overly posed — just movement, connection, walking hand-in-hand, leaning into each other, and letting real moments unfold.
I love working with natural light, especially in a venue like Lapstone where it falls beautifully across the stone. But when the dancefloor kicks off, I always bring flash to capture the energy, motion, and atmosphere exactly as it felt.
Why Book a Photographer Who Knows Lapstone Barn?
Knowing the flow of the venue — the light, the timings, the layout — makes a huge difference. I know where the best spots are at different times of day, how the ceremony barn looks as the weather changes, and where to find quiet corners for portraits even when the courtyard is buzzing.
That familiarity means photography can blend seamlessly into your day, letting you enjoy the celebration without it feeling like a photoshoot.
